#Mastodon (Mast) #moderation (moder) is better than #X . I thank the #covenant

Is Mast 's global focused more than individual focused? Servers can still add their own rules.

If few servers tried to get big influence and change the #fediverse tone, servers can still just #defederate the large unfavorable server, this seems to work. (look what happen to it after Musk bought it there are no other x servers users could just flock to.)

One feature I won't miss from X is the lower character limit.

The server I use has already defederated from mastodon.cloud. I think I lost a couple of followers as a result.

You should think about migrating away.  There's a growing discussion that some servers are going to defederate (disconnect) from the server. This means that servers will not process any posts from mastodon.cloud.

Why? mastodon.cloud is not maintained. The server software is very outdated and contains security vulnerability. Also, there is no active moderation, resulting in abusive content and new accounts being created for spam. I read that there have been many attempts to contact the admin team but no response for a few years!

To stop sharing your posts to Bluesky:

1. Find the user [at]bsky.brid.gy[at]bsky.brid.gy (Type the user in the search box and click the Profiles matching… button)
2. Block the user [at]bsky.brid.gy[at]bsky.brid.gy
3. Click the Preferences button on the sidebar
4. Go to Account/Authorized apps
5. Revoke access for Bridgy, if it exists.

To stop seeing posts from Bluesky:

1. Find any user whose address ends with …[at]bsky.brid.gy (You can type bsky.brid.gy in the search box and click the Profiles matching… button)
2. Click on the user name to reveal their profile page
3. Click the ••• button
4. Click Block domain bsky.brid.gy
5. Click Block server

To verify that you’ve done it, click the ••• More button on the right sidebar and click Blocked domains. You should see bsky.brid.gy there.

Also check the instance they are on. I have encountered several instances that were actually hosted in #Russia and spreading hateful #Russian war #propaganda. In that case report this to the admin of your instance and suggest to them to #defederate that instance.

While researching the streams repository and trying to find possible (streams) instances to join, I found a nazi blog published on writefreely, the longform blogging software. It talked about the streams software. If there's a way to ruin free software, it's to see a fucking nazi support it. Also, guess what I found everywhere on their blog : genAI. GenAI everywhere. They stole all of human art and sold it to nazis who can use it to create propaganda. Fucking hell.

So I'm asking you all to #defederate and report techriot @hub.netzgemeinde.eu , techriot @hub.natehiggers.online , and techriot @hub.natehiggers.org .

If you know someone who could DDoS or otherwise take down their blog and other domains, I'd love to get in touch.

These people belong in the darkness. They all deserve to be shunned, shamed and banned for who they are, if they knowingly commit to this hateful, genocidal ideology. I know I need to abide the idea of rehabilitation instead of punition. But fuck, man. Fuck.
