Finally making it back down to the main road/trail, we decided to walk only steps further to the Tom Branch waterfall, usually the easiest to get to (abut 0.3 miles from the parking area.)
The sun had still not quite crested the ridge, so parts of the falls were in shade. I think all of my photos, ever, of this waterfall are shady.
Here is a 16" video of the falls, with the water flowing into Deep
Creek.

Coming back down the cemetery trail towards the horse trail again, I was followed by a ghost. He seemed nice.

Today's adventure at the #GreatSmokyMountains Park began with an hour drive west right before dawn. The sun came up and captured a fog layer in the valleys between peaks along our driving route.
Once we got to the #DeepCreek area, we began the first leg of the hike towards a selection of #waterfalls

Yesterday's hike in #GSMP in #WNC started quite cold, but warmed up. Saw 3 waterfalls, if you could the 2nd one twice, because we took the wrong trail and doubled back.
This was in #BrysonCity and is always enjoyable. #DeepCreek
