My American Indian history professor, although not Indigenous, is incredibly respectful about the knowledge he shares. He uses traditional words over the European versions, etc.

He just spoke on animism and closed out with: “…this isn’t to be romanticized into some New Age belief system. Don’t do that.”

My paper about the lie of "standard" English? The 1 about how first gen often find themselves alienated from their family & culture as a result of their education? Maybe I should go back a few years to when I thought I was enlightened but wrote a paper on the *importance* of Shakespeare. 😲
