Were going for a back day yesterday. And deadlifts are always a good thing. Does them seldom enough to not really know how much to load and once I worked up to a working weight I realized I was on my PR. Got a stupid idea to go for 1.5 times my bodyweight. Which would be 130kg, up from (5RM) PR of 100kg.
Got my butt wiggling and up it went. Form not the best but up it went. Multiple times, several sets and many of them 2 reps.So I guess I did that...

Greatest benefits of Smith Machine Deadlifts 🏋️

👉 Increased Stability = More Targeted Muscle Tension
👉 Better Control of Tempo & Time Under Tension
👉 Safer Option for Training Close to Failure

It's been a while since I have worked in one of these sessions, but happy to increase the weights on all the exercises & being able to do more reps of heavy deadlifts (above body weight deadlifts for reps!)

- 5x 55 kg
- 5x 65 kg
- 5x 70 kg

Tried the new lifting straps for the last two sets, to start getting used to them for heavy sets. And while the 80 kg set was ugly AF, I lifted it without hamstring pain!

The world record deadlift for women: 325KG

The new world record for most weight deadlifted is now 510kg.

That is pure insanity.
