@Schouten_B You're the one gaslighting: China's annual output has only exceeded the rich countries in recent years, since we outsourced most of our manufacturing to it. Atmospheric CO2 and its effects on temperature are cumulative: the overwhelming majority of emissions are due to North America and Europe since the Industrial Revolution. We are the most responsible. So much need to control how they use their own public relations to greenwash appears to fail major corporate powers. Carbon offsets is a sleight of hand scheme, and hurts countries which need to grow their forests. Recommended Reuters article summarizes obvious problems.

#Biofuel is #greenwashing. In North America, ethanol added to gasoline is made from purpose-grown corn. There's some #biodiesel made from used cooking oil or something, but I don't think that's a very large part of our market. #DecarbonizeNow
