I have spent two weeks trying to read this graphic novel. It vaunted as the best GN since Maus, and the best thing since tummy rubs!

I don't get it. It's a depression primer, the MC is self-obsessed, and I got about half-way through before I gave up.

Not for me.

this seems like a kind of foregone or ordained event that has probably happened the same way countless times, maybe there's a symbolic nature to whatever is happening that holds civilization together.

I love the columns, the extravagance of the location, this covered area is big enough to stroll with an elephant and howdah (!) and an honor guard.

I got pretty sick. This is holding me together with its stability 😑
