Not sure how easy it would be to get legislation through to override let alone abolish the sentencing council - so suspect this will die away as an issue over the next few months . If not it might put #davidgauke - who is still reviewing penal policy, #jamestimpson - the prisons minister , and even #richardhermer - the attorney general in an awkward place.
