Girlfriend Dark Souls update:

She managed to get past the Anor Londo snipers on her first try, she is now officially better at the game than I was when I first started out haha.

Her fashion souls is coming along nicely too. The boar helmet has become pretty much her signature look at this point. Though she wears much better armor along with it now, and they just go so well together. 

Next boss is gonna be O&S, which she is very much afraid of. So far she has dealt pretty well with anything the game threw at her, but a 2vs1 fight is something she fears might frustrate her. I told her about being able to summon Solaire, but she wants to give it a try solo first, since she has come so far on her own. Wish her luck!

I enjoy the game as a Dungeon Crawler, building up my stats and powers in order to eliminate the obstacles I don't like called: Bosses so that I can get back to the parts of the game I like.

It's 3 AM. Thinking about the stuffs I posted yesterday, seems like my deep troubles reared its head out once again, but I'm alright now.

I swear sleeping works like resting on bonfire/site of grace in Dark Souls/Elden Ring for me. I don't feel like shit anymore and I feel so refreshed.

So my girlfriend used to HATE Dark Souls. She tried it many many years ago, when a friend tried to get her into it, but they left her pretty much without any guidance whatsoever, because they wanted her to have the "aUthEntIc dARk sOuLs exPEriEnCe". She got frustrated quickly and left the game with a very sour taste, that would last for over a decade.

After we got together, I pretty much just accepted that she would never really like the game the same as I do and didn't make any effort to try to "convert" her. I would occasionally tell her some fun stories from my tour guide shenanigans, which she enjoyed listening to, but I didn't expect that she would ever touch the games herself.

However, over the last couple months she got a little bit curious again, and after a lot of weighing whether it would be worth the risk of becoming upset again, she did eventually give Dark Souls another try. This time I was there to coach her and explain some basic mechanics to help make the early parts more approachable, without trying to backseat game too much.
