2/2 Using some relief cuts on the tube, a floor jack, and some creative application of recovery gear, I was able to get the tube straight. Here's a photo of the alignment bar all the way through and the pucks slid into place. I do need to make a slight adjustment to the puck so they slide into the inner C at the end (you'll note the inner C is missing from the previous picture). But... the hard part is hopefully done.

1/2 I'm trying to repair an old Ford axle for the #jeeptj. I have an "alignment bar" that goes through the axle and aligns all of the pieces to ensure straight axle shafts and save u-joints and differential splines. Turns out, the tubes pressed into the axle tubing have a slight bend in them that prevents me from lining everything up. (That steel "puck" at the bottom of the photo is supposed to slide into the axle tube and hold the alignment bar perfectly centered).
