On the 18th there will be an open seminar of #DaitoRyu Aikijujutsu in Helsinki. No prior experience of the art is needed and great for martial artists interested in historical Japanese #jujutsu (particularly of course those who do #aikido, though there have been all kinds at these events).

Thoroughly recommend the upcoming #DaitoRyu #Aikijujutsu seminar in Helsinki (Daito Ryu being the precursor of #aikido and #hapkido). Organised by the #Sasuga dojo, they are one of the few places on the planet that still does this Japanese #jujutsu in the oldschool ways. It's eye-opening practise that benefits whatever martial art you do.
The theme this time is combinations, counter-techniques and randori.

Last Saturday the #Sasuga dojo celebrated 30 years of #DaitoRyu Aikijujutsu in Finland (the parent art of #aikido — one of Sasuga's senseis introduced it to the country). An amazing event with people from over the decades, food created by renowned Korean chef Joon, a large trailer sauna, courtesy of #Palosauna, and a special batch of beer made by #HIISI, branded 'Aiki' — with a label design by yours truly.
On the Sunday after I, uhm, did not go to practise...
