AmyccoonUpdate to the theead. Its test printing now.
If this succeeds , it ll be a great FDM optimized print which only takes rougly 5 hours and uses ONLY 90g of fillament.

Update. Now I'm in the process of resculpting the whole keyboard by hand, to "smoothify it" a bit.
Was quite a fun experience, gonna do that to the whole piece + remake sure it prints out without any supports.
I AM going to publish the desing once it's done.
As promised, next prototype, besides the thumb part which I need to model.
It came out much better than the other one, and it was fast, 3 hoursh ish.
After a bit of processing which, I admit, it was a bit hasly, so it's not the pretties, it's a great result I think.
Gonna itterate a bit more, I still have to do wire hole stuff, the cable holes, all those.
But it's nice!
Supportless as in, no slicer supports, just some breakways parts.

Has some issues, which are fixed in Prototype 3, and I had just sent it to print. Damn its 3 AM and got me working on the keyboard! This was fun.

sa_zhFinished the #dactylmanuform. Almost. One small part is missing and has been ordered, but the keyboard is fully functional and in use. It's fitted with tactile, non-clicky switches (glorious panda). I must say, I prefer the clickies. But they're not really open space office friendly :)
Finally started assembling a new dactyl manuform, with non clicky glorious panda switches this time. My office colleagues will appreciate this move ;) The holes of the printed part are slightly too narrow for the switches, so I have to file each. That's probably part of what kept me so long from doing it.

Finished printing one side of my dactyl manuform and had to try the keycaps on for size 😻
Too bad I didn't order more in light blue. Well, maybe next time.
Now I gotta clean the print, apply the switches and start soldering - and find one and a half free days to print the other side ...
