I should add to my previous post: If you want to learn #CW enroll for the #CWAcademy. I cannot recommend enough how useful the course is to teach you CW, how to make QSOs, and in the process introduce you to a whole crowd of new friends with the same interests. There are different levels depending on your starting point. I had already used https://lcwo.net to learn the code, so joined the Fundamental course (2nd level). More details are here: https://cwops.org/cw-academy/, including some simple tests to help you judge your start point. #ham_radio

@F1RUM I don't know, but I use it to improve my sending when doing my #cwacademy homework.
So two semesters of #cwacademy has paid off, sending and receiving skills are up and I'm now a member of #CWops.
Ask me about it :)
@G0PDZ Hey Ian, good to see you yesterday during the #CWAcademy Sunday session. You went on my list of people to chat to, and there you are blogging about CW. Great stuff. Did you get the link I sent in the chat last night?
@kd2pyk Oh you should give it a go, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain! #CWAcademy will give you the structure to make progress guided by your Advisor and their Co-advisor. All of their content is on-line, have a look at https://cwops.org/cw-academy/cw-academy-student-resources/ to see what to expect.
CWA Student Resources – CWops

Ask me about the CWOps' #CWAcademy. I'm just beginning my second semester, under Buzz AC6AC, this time in the advanced class. We have a great group of students and capable co-advisors to show us the way.

I'm now past half way in the #CWAcademy Summer Intermediate Class and my #MorseCode has progressed considerably in speed and accuracy. The class is a lot more relaxed than I expected, and not a thrashing. Students are encouraged to improve themselves rather than given hard targets. We've built up quite the community and I would thoroughly recommend CW Academy to anyone that wants to learn or improve their CW.
Another backyard attempt for my first #cw qso. My #cwacademy advisor recommended 14.038 MHz and to send "cwa" after my call sign. Day 49 #CW100days #cwa #ditdah
