Saw pharmacist. Prescribed two things, one I never dreamed of trying, and blood test for cortisol in case I’ve even got Cushing’s Syndrome. Me at that point 🤯 there are enough matching symptoms but a cortisol test a few years ago was fine.

The diabetes prescription is the expected Metformin, slow release (to avoid it hating/speeding up your gut) and one of these new “weight loss” things that do your pancreas and insulin, curb cravings and slow down hunger.

I was 🫨 at the initial idea of giving myself a weekly injection so I’ll try a tiny dose of a daily pill with specific instructions. Tiny because, as I told her, everything makes me shake after two days except metformin when I took it 6 years ago (anxiety sugar issue).

Anyone have a blind or mostly-blind dog? 🐶Our 8-year old dog went blind within the last two weeks. Vet says SARDS or Cushing’s is likely. We will be taking her for testing soon. 🦮

I would love to find some solid information on how we could make this transition easier for her. She is understandably a bit depressed, and it is breaking my heart. 🙁
