Vice President JD Vance’s ties to the far-right have been well-reported—from writing a promotional blurb in a book from Pizzagate conspiracy theorist Jack Posobiec (who has mocked the Holocaust and repeatedly used the neo-Nazi “1488” dogwhistle) to his reported friendship with neo-monarchist Curtis Yarvin (who has written that there’s “nothing wrong with a military coup" and “jokingly” advocated converting the poor of San Francisco into biodiesel). Vance’s far-right connections on X (formerly known as Twitter), however, have been less well-covered.

The Vice President started following Yarvin on X in April 2025, but this activity is not an outlier, Decoherence Media has found. Besides Yarvin and alleged sex trafficker Andrew Tate, J.D. Vance follows several far-right or antisemitic accounts on X—ranging from influential voices in the “new-right” like Bronze Age Pervert, to smaller operations like Rogue Scholar Press, an independent publisher that publishes books by fascist and proto-fascist authors.

Yarvin and Tate are public figures, but many of the accounts followed by Vance are pseudonymous and lack any public profile beyond their activity on X.
