Of all of my designs, however, I find myself drifting away from hard numbers of cards in a cube, more in favor of variance.

Only really the Pauper 540 is bound to rigid numbers of cards, i.e. balanced colors, specifically 540 cards (not including its cool artifact land seed). The rest have some extra here and there.

I used to be very design-driven about that in particular as I've been known to be practically neurotic about some kinds of symmetry or proportion, but this feels kinda right. Weird, but right. After all, it's just a pile of cards to play with right?

It seems I have a problem. I just can't stop spending hours designing #mtg cubes. So far and counting, I have a pauper 540, a battlebox, a jumpstart cube of 20+ half decks, a premodern micro cube, a desert bar cube... Where does it end?

Gonna cut bears from the bear cube and add food I think. This might me some of the other tribal cards become Too Good or Too Bad, but the LotR food support is so neat! https://cubecobra.com/cube/overview/qh5 for reference! #MagictheGathering #cubedesign
Cube Cobra Overview: Bear Cube

Everything is Bears and MV2 objects. [[Coralhelm Commander]] is probably the strongest individual card. [[Ayula, Queen Among Bears]] is the most archetype dependent, probably. [[Goblin Electromancer]] is less of a storm card than one think it should be, for weird reasons.

I am approaching my SOI and EMN bulk, which means I need to finish my SOI/EMN 2HG Block Constructed Battle Box. Are there any specific cards or themes people you might be interested in playing out of that? I understand no one here is likely to _actually_ play it, but I'm seeking opinions. #mtg #magicthegathering #cube #cubedesign
