I walked to the end of the #malecón my final morning in Cuba and spotted some #fishermen with lines out in the harbor. I thought with #castillodelostresreyesdelmorro and the #lighthouse in the background this would make for a nice #blackandwhite.

For dinner our last night in #viñales we went to Finca Agroecológica El Paraiso a family style place where all the food was grown on the farm or locally sourced for the sea food.

The next stop on our #CubanAdventures walking tour was a #tobacco #farm. This particular farm was also a #UNESCO #WorldHeritageSite which keeps all the #farming done there natural. All natural also means no machines, so the fields are plowed by Ox.

The tabacco here is sent to factories to be made into #cigars but the remainder is #handrolled into top quality cigars able to be purchased on site. In the building seen on the right, we were able to see the rolling process.

The defining characteristic of #viñales was the #limestone #mountains part of the #SierraDeLosOrganos . They are the remnants of a massive limestone plateau that was eroded away over time. These types of formations are common in Southeast Asia but are rare in North America.

Right before our #CubanAdventures walking tour ended and we left #Havana to explore other cities for a week, I ran back and snapped this picture of #CastilloDeLaRealFuerza through the fence.

Unfortunately, this Fort did not open until the afternoon, so I was not able to tour it, but every missed opportunity is just motivation for another trip in a few years.
