Reminder of a problem that should not exist, last night the #wankstortion archive https://nxdomain.no/~peter/wankstortion/ got a full message from a new campaign, showing what swelled the number of trapped hosts over the last few days.
Expect more silliness along the lines of "The Despicable, No Good, Blackmail Campaign Targeting ... Imaginary Friends?" to hit your users again and again. https://nxdomain.no/~peter/despicable_no_good_blackmail.html #cybercrime #sextortion #scams #cryptocurrency #cryptotulips #bitcoin #bitcon
It will not be a surprise that the ovenight haul of new groped-for user IDs today included, almost #hailmary style, a bunch of vaguely #cryptocurrencly related ones, https://nxdomain.no/~peter/tuliptraders.txt, log extract https://nxdomain.no/~peter/tuliptraders-sshlog.txt. Do #cryptptulipcookers actually run as users with passwords anywhere?
Of course all of those are in the list of imaginary friends, see https://nxdomain.no/~peter/hailmary_lessons_learned.html and https://nxdomain.no/~peter/badness_enumerated_by_robots.html for background. #sshgropers #passwordguessing #cryptotulips #scams #cybercrime
The slime also evolves, apparently. Today https://nxdomain.no/~peter/wankstortion/[email protected][email protected] (https://nxdomain.no/~peter/wankstortion/[email protected][email protected]_original_base64.txt) inboxed, as far as I can recall the first #wankstortion message received here over #IPv6 (and likely inboxed for that reason, bypassing the IPv4 only #spamd).

Another round of crypto scam, faked caller ID +46729054372, from somebody claiming to be from "Asset recovery" and that they had a crypto currency account in my name.
I told them,
"You know, where you are going there will be no windows. And not nearly enough air. Your best choice would be to put down the phone and get out of there"
before hanging up.

So it's that time of the year again.
Another #bitcon aka #bitcoin scam, this time in sort-of-Norwegian with heavy Swedish traces.

I've mentioned cryptobros posting comment spam earlier, but did anyone else notice that the comment spam looks increasingly crapomat generated?
I mean, sure the keywords can be found in the text but does this https://nxdomain.no/~peter/forgotten_blockchain_account_scam.html (or if you prefer G's trackers https://bsdly.blogspot.com/2022/09/your-forgotten-blockchain-account.html) sound like I'm at all interested in either buying or selling cryptotulips?
