#Walking from the #DenofAfforsk to #MoreHead with great views down to #GamrieBay and the old fishing villages of #Gardenstown and #Crovie … 😀
Seeing a photo of the village of #Crovie in #aberdeenshire posted today, I retrieved my dad's 1947 photo. This would be 6 years before the storm caused significant structural damage and put paid to the remaining fishing trade.
The amazing village of Crovie, built between the base of the cliffs forming the east side of Gamrie Bay on the north Aberdeenshire coast and the sea. The shelf it stands on is so narrow it only has room for a row of cottages and a path. More pics and info: https://www.undiscoveredscotland.co.uk/gardenstown/crovie/index.html
#Walking to the breathtaking cliff tops of #TroupHead a rugged promontory near the unique and eye-catching former fishing village of #Crovie on the #OldBanffshire coast ... 😀
