The top of the tower of the magnificent Scots Baronial style former Crosshall and Govanhill Burgh Hall on Cathcart Road in Glasgow. Designed by Frank Stirrat, it was built in 1879.

However, it wasn't until the 1920s, several decades after this building was constructed, that it became widely used. Thus, this similarly is presumably purely coincidental.

Love the decorative pattern in the slates on this pinnacle on the corner of a 1900 red sandstone tenement in Kingsley Avenue on the Southside of Glasgow. There is also an interesting monogram on the cartouche just below it. Between the 19 and the 00 which have been carved into it are the initials GE.

Love this pair of semi-detatched late Victorian villas on Queen's Drive on the Southside of Glasgow. They're now used as part of a hotel.

It has been adopted by a local resident who has done a great job of cleaning and repainting it, and replacing the missing lamp on the top.

Provost's lamp post on Kingsley Avenue on the Southeside of Glasgow. Such lamp posts were (and still are) used to mark the home where the city's Lord Provost resides. While in the office, they have two, but after leaving, one is usually removed and one is left behind. This one was made in Glasgow at McCulloch and Co's Cumberland Foundry, which specialised in architectural ironwork.
