Justice Brian Cregan was forthright: far too much attention had been on Burke, not enough on the school. Burke's "grotesque behaviour" & "ridiculous sense of himself" was to sacrifice the pupils to his "fanatical campaign".

Cregan called Burke family antics a “concerted, organised & systematic” attack on authority of the courts.
