What I’m hearing from the Trump administration today, via Marco Rubio, is this: They have NO intention of allowing control by Venezuela’s appropriate leadership who were widely viewed as the rightful democratic leader, had a legitimate election been allowed, in that of Nobel Peace Prize laureate María Corina Machado, despite Maduro finally being removed. Rubio said, things moving forward will “depend on what they do”, this current (fraudulently) elected VP, now made head of the Venezuela government and the still existing Maduro regime, in what she decides to do and then actually does governing US actions moving forward. THAT, is an unhealthy sign from the US government and this currently (hopefully temporary) Trump MaGA regime (25th Amendment or Impeachment, any time now Congress, we’re all waiting on YOU). Instead, “they” (current American Trump criminal regime) appear ready to work with the remnants of Maduro’s criminal regime, which could easily be (rather correctly) interpreted as prioritizing access to Venezuelan oil and economic leverage, potentially benefiting U.S. energy interests and Trump’s friends and political allies, rather than advancing democratic outcomes for Venezuelans. See how neatly this all dovetails together?

#CRTisHistory: a #politicalparty would not only defend multiple #criminalconspiracies, but also embrace the #lawyers at their center. The #legalprofession needs to make significant #structural changes to prevent another #attack on #democracy in the future.
