I just spent about 40 minutes taking a Creative Australia/Creative Workplaces survey on pay and working conditions, workplace safety, bullying etc.

Noticeably lacking from the survey was any substantial section on mental or physical health problems resulting from the economic/political sphere of the creative industries.

Or on the implications and effects of AI on the workplace and work conditions.

We in the creative industries are increasingly outliers in the economic and political landscape here in Australia, which has serious consequences for our cultural and community development into the future.

The malady of political correctness in arts and culture is only going to get worse, too.

The board made an arbitrary knee jerk decision but this isn’t going to be part of the enquiry. They want the findings to be about how these 2 artists shouldn’t have been chosen for the #venicebiennale. The board is compromised and should resign. You don’t need an enquiry to know that. #creativeaustralia
