Breakfast at Germany’s first pedestrian zone (1953) in Kassel. Today so far: Weimar - Eisenach - Bebra - Kassel. I got a bit confused because the city has this typical “West-German” look but for some reason they have “East German” traffic lights for pedestrians (“Ampelmännchen”). From here I’ll continue to Gießen. Kassel is a bit confusing for #train trips since the Hauptbahnhof is just used for regional trains, the main station is Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe.
