Storchenschnabel wächst an Wegrändern und auf Wiesen. Seine kleinen, violetten Blüten entdecke ich auf Island besonders häufig bei meinen Wanderungen – sowohl im flachen Tiefland als auch in höheren Lagen, wo er sich zwischen Gräsern und Kräutern behauptet.

Meadow Crane's-bill at Brandon Marsh, Warwickshire, yesterday. The flowers of this wild Geranium always occur in pairs; when they have gone to seed they will extend the long 'beaks' from which the species gets its name.
