Boston weather in the fall is usually changeable, but this weekend was something else. Saturday was a warm and sunny day, perfect for bathing suits and shorts, and lingering for sunset at the beach. Sunday was cold and rainy, a day for Gortex and fleeces. Still, on my way back to my car after going to a chamber concert, I stopped by one of my favorite local outdoor gardens.

I knew it was going to be pretty hot yesterday, so I took a half day & went up to Ipswich MA, to Crane Beach. At this time of year, whenever it’s warm enough, it’s fun trying to catch that last great beach day.

Yesterday at #CraneBeach in #Ipswitch #Massachusetts was absolutely delightful. Water was chilly, crowd was chill, and the beach was clean. Friends met there were good company, packing too much food to share always a delight, and the flies were not biting.

Fog rolled in midday as the tide came in, but by that point we were ready to head home. I need to get out there more this year.
