Shenanigans are afoot!
Shenanigans are afoot!
Oh! One final photograph.
The reason the model was posed on top of a mirror in some shots was so I could get this photo of the whole of the underside (flipped vertically and horizontally for readability).
Finally finished. Reasonably happy with the outcome, only a few minor gripes.
Got some good grime going on now. Judging by the reference photos, the oil should be a LOT darker, and more of it, so I might play with making my own oil mixtures... or will probably just leave it like this.
To continue the theme of things that will bug me about this build, but no one else will notice...
It's a 1:32 scale build, bigger than my usual 1:72, so I thought I'd put some extra detail into the wheels. I don't have any "DUNLOP" decals, but I _do_ have some sheets of various decals, which included some white writing ones at about the right curvature, and thought "that'll do to give the impression"..
Can you see the unexpected issue?

In things that only I will ever notice or care about, I have followed the #Revell painting guide (bottom). But it "felt wrong" as I was doing it... to the point I checked 3 different times to make sure I'd not confused the two colours.
Only after completing it did I pull up the #Airfix painting guide.
Can you spot the discrepancy?
