I did multiple patterns for the 78, to emphasize the escalation through pattern complexity primarily (the voices cant be tweaked, only sculpted by outboard effects). The synths are used as a third party observer, trying to keep up but giving up before the end.

Of course I used an interview for day 10, "Triangulation", but that was different. Here, I chose bits and pieces and laid them out as part of the track.

The programming was done through the WS1 interface. Sadly, in over 30 years of ownership of my CR78, I never found one (at a price I was willing to pay) and instead used a normally closed footswitch. Not only can you program beats in slots I to IV but in play mode, you can play live one of the sound, along with any of the presets.
