#160m activity snapshot mostly from the East during #CQWW160 Contest, SSB part, 1518-1642z, with nightly streetlight QRM starting @ 1636z. (Times on the waterfall are wrong; SDR# Baseband Recorder plugin puts my local time in its IQ file names, while SDR-Console thinks it's UTC ๐คท)
Note a strong station as low as 1819 kHz LSB, although I think there's another one briefly on 1815 around the "18:22:00" mark.
Used my 15x4.5m Conti SuperLoop w/ 1000 Ohm resistor, beaming ~67deg. #mediumwave #mwdx
Yo dawg, I'm spammin' Reverse Beacon Network again ๐คช
These are just last 15 minutes or so of #160m traffic in #CQWW160 #CQWW160CW Contest, with my (almost) 15x4.5m Conti SuperLoop beaming ~67deg, right across Asia.
As you can see, not much far into Western Europe... which is good ๐ furthest RD8D, near naZi ruZZia's border with Mongolia and NE China ๐5684 km.
I've been skimming like this for around 2 hours so there must be more good stuff in there ๐
Looking at an IQ file I made this AM of #CQWW160, and while I planned to "cheat" w/ DX Cluster to find any DX, I found one station not spotted: #N2TTT on 1985.1 kHz LSB.
His work shows how challenging DXing can be on #TopBand. He tried to work #OK2BFN yet was rogered w/ call misheard as OK2BON.
I struggled to copy him too. Took me several listens to hear Delta Echo in his report
My 1st DE on MF (none on MW) ๐ก

Looks like there are no ruZZians in the #CQWW160 Contest, SSB part. You know what it means... the band is open for DX ๐
Heard Shandong PBS on 918, HLCA on 972, and CNR5 on 1116 kHz, although I did NOT hear more usual CNR1 on 1377 kHz... so I hope the ionosphere makes up its mind about higher MF frequencies ๐ #hamr #hamradio #amateurradio #160m #mediumwave #mwdx
