Yes, same, correlation is not the same as cause… in the narrow sense: it’s not only or necessarily a Covid vax that reduces all-cause mortality risk at a population level (18-59yo; ~23m vs. 6m!). On the other hand, stepping back, this study does quantify a general ‘prevention benefit’, which is of course based on many things, including socioeconomic status.
Rudd summarised (in part), quoting study authors: "Although vaccinated individuals in our study were generally older and tended to have more comorbidities -- factors that would typically bias the association toward higher mortality in the vaccinated group -- this was not observed in the crude hazard ratio," Zureik and colleagues wrote. People who were vaccinated were more socioeconomically advantaged and probably had better healthcare management, they added, factors that "may partly explain the observed negative association between vaccination and mortality, counterbalancing the effects of age and comorbidities." End quote.
WonderIng if other similar studies exist; needs a more careful read including refs.

both rates are unacceptable when there is so much we can still do to prevent transmission is children: mask up! Clean the shared air in child care & school settings; convince politicians that our children deserve better!

When my spouse and youngest got covid last year, we hustled to do several things, that might be applicable to your situation:
#N95 masks on everyone.
Isolation in their bedrooms.
Food delivered like room service.
Box fans in windows to exhaust air.
Paxlovid Rx to stop virus inside them.
Lots of covid RAT tests to track illness.
Updated covid boosters when possible.
Keep us updated?
At the hospital recently for spouse's simple procedure.
In pre-op room, nurse double-takes our #N95 masks and makes some weird awkward comment,
"Oh! In 2020, everyone was so afraid. All mask. But then time went by, couple years, and #covid is over. But, but you are still afraid! Why? Huh?"
We stare silently, just get through it and get out.
In Surgery waiting room later I sit alone waiting, my mask pulled tight, people round me coughing and hacking.

A headline that needs something else or perhaps a more sensitive expression: “Long Covid is continuing to linger in the workplace, and businesses struggle to cope.”
Because I’m pretty sure the people who suffer from Long Covid also struggle to cope with it.
Linked question: have workplaces done anything to either support workers or prevent transmission? Are they cleaning the shared air, for instance? (Especially with current estimates of ~40% of those with Covid-19 being asymptomatic.)
