Calibrated and ready to go! #covidco2 logging down to 1-second intervals. Local schools are back next week, will try it in a science classroom. Meanwhile, time to play at home! @HOBODataLoggers MX1102A Carbon Dioxide logger

Preventing Airborne Transmission of SARS-CoV-2 in Hospitals and Nursing Homes
The first case of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the novel contagious disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), was reported in Wuhan, China in December 2019 [...]
Good #covidCO2 site: Small room with 1 person for hours.
90sqft, 890cuft, 505ppm
22C, Low RH 27%.
Outdoors is 15C 29%.
High internal gains = AC on.
No operable windows. 1980's design.
Humidity will be a problem this winter.
The effect of air infiltration on CO2 in the home. Normal level is 1240 ppm for our family of four with windows closed. Home has no principal ventilaton fan. Now with wind steady 42 km/h, gusts to 70, we are getting 941ppm: unintentional ventilaton. #buildingscience#covidCO2
#covidco2 Afternoon dental office CO2 measurements: Waiting room / reception 1150ppm. Operatory with door closed and two people reached 1425ppm then the door was opened. Small tower portable air cleaner in the room, large unit in the hallway with UV.
#COVIDCO2 measurements: Dollar store, short drive, pharmacy. Dollar store peaked at 1300 ppm, didn't stay to see it go higher. Logged in 10 second intervals with HOBO MX1102A. Both stores had approximately the same occupant density (not crowded) & age of construction.
