KiwiNikkiJudging by the amount of cars that had children and a parent in at the GP’s, who were waiting to be escorted inside by a doctor, I’d say we have a lot of covid and respiratory issues going round.
Fortunately everyone is masked. And hand sanitises and distances. And the air con is full blast. And windows are open. And I think I saw a hepa too.

🤒 2 ppl w/new autoimmune diagnoses
🧠 1 whose dad has severe personality changes & they're looking at likely Alzheimer's
✋ 1 masseuse changing careers due to hand neuropathy
🚽 1 w/ recurring UTIs, diarrhea, and kidney infections
👶 2 families whose kids have chronic fevers, URIs, and stomach bugs
👃 My own daughter still hasn't fully recovered her sense of smell

I've been cutting kids hair at home until I found a COVID safe hairstylist (KN95 masks required, only one client in her private office at a time, air filter). Her 17 year old niece has had COVID twice. After the 2nd time she's been running a fever every three weeks for months, had to quit sports bc she gets winded, other lingering effects.
Seventeen years old. What are we doing to our kids.
