The SIP Level 2 Training takes place across two focused Saturdays to support concentrated learning and applied practice. Participants gather on May 30, 2026 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and again from 1:30 to 4:30 pm. The sequence continues the following weekend on June 6, 2026 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and 1:30 to 4:30 pm. These structured three hour sessions create a supportive rhythm that allows participants to engage deeply with spiritually integrated psychotherapy. Level 2 builds on foundational work by offering five courses that explore spiritual interventions, harmful spirituality, therapist belief systems, and spiritually integrated case conceptualization. Learning formats include interactive seminars, role plays, small group discussions, and case illustrations. The weekend structure allows participants to focus intensely on the curriculum while balancing other professional responsibilities. The training welcomes licensed and pre licensed clinicians across counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, pastoral counseling, psychology, psychiatry, addiction treatment, and related fields, as well as graduate students preparing for these roles.

Spiritual Assessment is a central skill taught in SIP Training Level 1. Participants learn how to identify spiritual resources, spiritual struggles, and the role spirituality may play in therapy for each client.

The course emphasizes assessment as a relational and conversational process rather than a checklist, supporting nuanced understanding of client experience.

Wayne Gustafson’s extensive training in Clinical Pastoral Education and psychotherapy informs a teaching approach that integrates curiosity, ethical sensitivity, and clinical judgment.

Staff Perspective: Caught in the Loop - Self-Treating Your Way to Worse Sleep | Center for Deployment Psychology

Although drinking alcohol can serve many purposes in everyday life, from social and to traditions, its connection with sleep often stems from underlying motivations: are we trying to cope to escape negative emotions, or are we directly seeking a shortcut to slumber? Unpacking these "whys" is essential for understanding risk-related usage patterns and their relationship with sleep health.
