Launched in 2023 from the pilot phase, Coscine now supports 1500+ users and 1000 projects in the field of #engineering sciences.
As a research data platform, Coscine promotes collaboration within and between NFDI consortia with easy access via DFN AAI & ORCID.

Coscine - NFDI4ING

Coscine is a RDM platform for the active phase of research projects that enables NFDI4ING researchers to access storage space on DataStorage.nrw while guaranteeing the FAIR principles. Projects created in Coscine enable role management, metadata management, public sharing of data, referencing with PIDs and archiving of research and metadata for 10 years. In addition, project-related GitLab repositories can be integrated and external files linked. Registration takes place via your own organization (using the NFDI4ING community AAI) or ORCiD.

An der #RWTH Aachen ist #FDM am IT Center angesiedelt. Marius Politze berichtet, dass FDM als "Digitalisierung des Kernprozesses Forschung" verstanden wird. Die ersten Projekte wurden 2012 gestartet, darunter ein ProjektRepository. Daraus ist inzwischen ein Research Data Storage namens #Coscine geworden. Als Objektspeicher wird er inzwischen für ganz #NRW betrieben. Coscine hat die Umsetzung der #FAIR Data Priciples integriert. Die Archivierung wird für 10 Jahre garantiert. #DINI25

This is one I know: Charlie Pauvert is talking about "Bacterial genomes data and metadata managmeent with Coscine". This is a very nice example how data can be stored #FAIR|ly and reused for further things. A nice contribution also in connection with @NFDI4Microbiota
