I had never expected this project to go from a pile of parts to daily driver so quickly but here we are.
I still don't have a fuel level sensor but from what I can tell the level has barely dropped after a week of driving to work. I'll need to do a real MPG test here soon but I'm thinking it's close to or higher than the Prius from my eyeball estimate.
A lot of y'all have been asking for updates to this project, here's a walk around "before" video showing it as it sits before a clear coat and new wheels and an interior.

It has been a while since I've posted here. My #corvair #prius #projectcar now rolls! I believe this is the first #midengine #hybrid #electric Corvair. The seats are Recaros rescued from a crashed Audi!
Next steps are finishing up the welding, mounting the floor and seats, finishing the wiring and interior, plumbing the brakes cooling systems and fuel supply, and getting the remote rear steering to work. #corvairius here and on corporate social media if y'all want to see more.
It's starting to look like a normal car, and there's still no weight on it, so it will settle even lower.
For those that haven't been following, that's a 2010 #Prius #hybrid drivetrain, making this, as far as I know, the world's first mid engine hybrid #electric #Corvair. It's named #corvairius
