According to estimates by KSE and B4Ukraine, if we look beyond corporate profit tax and include VAT, payroll taxes, social contributions, customs duties and other payments generated by PepsiCo’s operations in Russia, the figure for 2022–2025 could be around $1–2 billion.
To understand the scale: in 2024 alone, PepsiCo reportedly generated $4.5 billion in revenue in Russia and paid $122 million in profit tax. The company still operates 19 plants and employs around 60,000 people in the country.
Every ruble paid into Russia’s budget helps sustain a state waging a war of aggression against Ukraine.
Corporate responsibility cannot stop at press releases.
