Càrn na Saobhaide and Càrn na Làraiche Maoile in the northern Monadhliath, the area of high ground south of Loch Ness and north of the Spey.
The network of gravel service roads for the Corriegarth Wind Farm made for easy walking.
And the river that Moray and I followed in the last pic is the River E: are there any other single letter place names in this country?

Not posted in a while so here goes.
2 day trip with Moray walking from Glen Bruar to Glen Feshie, taking in the remote Corbett of Beinn Bhreac. Estate roads at both ends, but a lot of pathless heather in between, hard going.
Forecast was for the wind to drop overnight, so camped high up to avoid the midges, found a patch of mat grass in the otherwise fragile ground.

Meallan nan Uan & Sgùrr a’Mhuilinn from Strath Conon.
An pre-birthday outing for Moray yesterday, summer conditions, a fairly short route picking up 2 Corbetts above Strath Conon. Although apart from the two summit ridges themselves, most of the walking was tedious terrain – boggy tussocky grass and heather – so it made for a longer day than expected. Very little snow on the bigger hills.
11.8km, 810m of ascent, 2 Corbetts.
