Der Augenblick, indem der Geist in Materie umgewandelt wird, löst eine Faszination in mir aus, durch die mein malerischer Duktus bestimmt wird. Ich schöpfe aus dem Zufälligen und mit dem Zugefallenen arbeite ich weiter. Die Farben reißen Formen an sich, die Zeichen verlangen Farbe und indem ich mich mitreißen lasse, gewinne ich mein Bild. Ziel ist nicht das Abbild, ebenso wie die reine Abstraktion.
The moment in which spirit is transformed into matter triggers a fascination in me that determines my painterly style. I draw from what happens by chance and continue to work with what happens by chance. The colors take over shapes, the symbols demand color and by allowing myself to be carried away, I create my image. The aim is not the illustration, nor the pure abstraktion.

This series of 24 works is part of my Copy | Sample | Remix cycle and marks the conceptual starting point of the Tearing Geometric Sticker Work (TGSW) series.
It explores copying, repetition, and transformation – inspired by Gilles Deleuze’s Difference and Repetition and Roland Barthes’ Camera Lucida.
Based on 24 scanned images and text pages, new visual compositions emerge through the use of tearing techniques and basic geometric forms such as circles, squares, and triangles.
The text lines are blacked out to visually highlight Barthes’ concept of the punctum.
This creates a remix of existing material that presents the artwork as an open-ended process – bridging formal aesthetics, visual language, and conceptual depth.
