I've been a tiger from the very beginning. but when my parents got divorced, I found myself in the world of dragons, specifically in the world of the legend of Spyro. I have started to feel like a dragon, got shifts of a tail, horns and wings. when I joined the community, I was already swind. swind was someone I created. she is a part of me, but I'm not her. she is something like a mixture of a headmate and copinglink (a nonhuman identity you choose to cope). and I think, without swind, without being a wind dragon, I wouldn't be here today

so yes. I have created swind. I'm her and I'm not her at the same time. she is me as my copinglink, and not me as a headmate at the same time. it's confusing, but it makes so much sense to me now

I'm confident in saying: I am swind, I am a dragon. and I am confident in saying: I am dreki, I am a tiger

So how many people here are #alterhuman on this fediverse? How many more of you are into the more academic study of alterhumanity and archiving various texts throughout history in regards to alterhumanity, #otherkin , #fictionkin , #therianthropy , #otherlink , #copinglink , #postfurry , #posthuman , #soulbonding , #daemonism , #thoughtform creation etc? (I use thoughtform here because I feel like there needs to be a clear distinction between modern/contemporary and traditional tibetan forms of #tulpa creation, but that's just a personal preference).

I'm one of those people that likes to archive information and make a little scrapbook of various things worth noting in regards to identity exploration and how it intersects with spirituality as a whole eg. how a "kinsona" or voluntarily chosen kintype can still have spiritual significance to someone. I'm rambling a bit but hopefully this makes sense?

I also just want to make a larger website and information glossary for this kind of stuff at some point. Kind of like what Alt-H is doing, or the work of people like Orion Scribner, but with a focus specifically on fictionkin and soulbonding to fictional characters, as I feel that this community doesn't have as much archival or resources documented as, say, more broadly known forms of otherkin and therian history.

Of course this wouldn't be the only focus, as I feel exploring alterhumanity's sub-labels as a whole is still incredibly important for the wider community and anthropologists like Dr. Devin Proctor exploring the "Digital Self" are still worth taking into consideration.

I guess this is me just putting my feelers out on Masto and seeing what comes of it? Where are my kin peeps at?
