Just had #birds out for an hour. Taking them both out on my own always feels a bit intimidating, they are not best buds, they have some sorta sibling love where they both need to know that the other one is safe, but they can also start fighting each other like mortal enemies at any time.

I write a lot about why you should not buy birds, birds are extremely demanding, and most people have no idea what they are getting themselves into, even having a small bird can be more demanding than a big dog, simply because they get so attached to you, and NO ONE ELSE than you will do.

Classified ads are therefor full of "bird need new home".

But, if this is for you, there are few things more rewarding. The amount of love and trust they give you. To have your own lill dinosaur (because, they are!) fall asleep with head in your ear or under your chin, while PURRING.

To smell the warmth, comforting smell of their feathers.

This is therapy like nothing else.

But, adopt, don't buy.
