If you do your install by hand, you know what was installed, you know how jankily it was done, and you know (presumably) what to look at when you screw something up in 3 years because it's been so stable you forgot you're supposed to read the news before updating.
If you use archinstall, you don't necessarily know exactly what packages were installed unless you're a particularly diligent admin. If you're using archinstall I can only assume you're not a particularly diligent admin. So when it breaks in 8 months because library Xyz.69420.so requires a manual adjustment that alpm can't handle you're SOL because you don't even know you have Xyz.69420.so on your system.

AlexI thought about dropping Where winds meet because it didn't scratch that itch I got to test myself in an open world souls like game, then today I learnt that they used a LLM within an in-game character and that completely shattered my interest in the game.
Mind that it's not because they used AI, but because they used it wrongly, just to say "ok, we're using it!"
I can get behind a modern assistant-like entity helping me in a more natural language, if properly trained in the context (well, duh), but I can't condone using an untrained (context-wise) LLM in a historical/wuxia RPG game.
AI isn't bad in some cases. Using it like this? Yeah, it is.

I don't have to be bombarded by images of dead civilians to know that it is wrong. I don't have to read endless stories about the horrors of a warzone imposed upon civilians to know that it is genocide. I don't have to engage with political cartoons and videos from people speaking out against atrocities to speak out with them. I don't have to burn images of death and suffering into my brain to go out and #protest.
Take it from a long-time #activist: you don't have to traumatize yourself to do the right thing.
