This growing series draws from the markings made by plastic surgeons on the body, temporary lines that function as instructions, mapping change before any incision begins. These markings exist in a grey area: a promise of what could be.
Cast from the body, the forms preserve vulnerability, fragility, and stillness. Onto these surfaces, the markings are drawn in precious metal, materials associated with value, permanence, and desire. What is usually fleeting and erased once its purpose is fulfilled, is here fixed, raising questions about when something becomes truth.
The works examine shifting ideals of beauty and normality, asking which version of beauty can be called truth. The drawn lines operate as instructions, turning the body into an editable surface, a blank canvas. Transformation is implied but never completed. In this moment, truth is unstable, but it is ready to reveal a new truth as the moment passes.
