I was planning to wear Ema again today to Nicon in Hannover, but my stomach has been acting up since yesterday and all night through so we ended up not going. I'm giving her another chance at MEX Berlin though.

Running some field tests in one of the Connichi foto locations!

I ordered some plastic vials and glitter food colorings specifically for this cosplay so I could have some fun props. I also carried two bags of snacks in my bag.

Sadly I missed the Ace Attorney fan meetup because I didn't find the announcement post until after it had concluded and only knew there'd be a meetup on Sunday from hearsay. But I was lucky enough to meet members of the fandom at the Ace Attorney panel later that day and made connections there, so I won't be missing the next meetup at LBM next year! I'll also be wearing Ema to two more cons this year, as she's known to many and also very comfortable and unproblematic on public transportation.

"Quiet, please. It's snack time."

Meet Ema, my favourite forensic scientist! I went to an Ace Attorney panel at Connichi last year and it was really interesting - that's when I decided I wanted to cosplay Ema at some point. When I learned that there'd be Ace Attorney panels again this year (on all three days!), I immediately ordered my fabrics!
I thrifted the pants, glasses and bag, ordered the shoes (which don't fit at all and are only good for photos), watch, Ema's pin and belt online and took the lab coat from my closet. I made the pink shirt (which only the collar is visible of), vest and scarf by myself! What I love most about it is the vest lining, which is pretty and silky and combines green and pink! The hardest part was the scarf, ironically - getting the fabric color right and then adjusting the length. It's still not perfect, but I'm happy with the overall look. All in all, this cosplay is mixed media all over!

*Greeting Whistle*

Here's my Marci cosplay from Dota 2! I had a lot of fun working on her, but ended up crunching alot for Connichi. I'm mostly happy with how the outfit turned out - I made the undershirt, tunic, bolero jacket and cape, bought bracers and belt from a larp shop and thrifted the backpack (but added the telescope). The wig is experimental at best and needs a redo sooner rather than later, but I won't make it in time for TI next week, where I'll wear her again.
