AGI - "I rapporti tra Svizzera e Italia sono ai minimi storici". Il presidente del Consiglio di Stato del canton Ticino, Claudio Zali, ha attaccato duramente l'Italia e l'ambasciatore Gian Lorenzo Cornado per la vicenda di Crans-Montana, dietro cui a suo dire si nasconderebbe il nodo dei ristorni per i transfrontalieri.

"I rapporti con l'Italia sono ai minimi storici", ha scritto in articolo pubblicato ieri dal Mattino della domenica. "Non possiamo ignorare la campagna estremamente negativa nei confronti della Svizzera dovuta ai tragici eventi del Vallese, e non mi riferisco al giornalismo di infima qualità della vicina penisola, ma alle ripetute esternazioni del rappresentante istituzionale della Repubblica italiana nel nostro Paese, e cioè l’ambasciatore Gian Lorenzo Cornado, il quale si è espresso in modi assolutamente inaccettabili, forse sapendo di essere a fine carriera e che a breve lascerà il nostro Paese", ha proseguito, "uscite che non ci si aspetta da parte di un paese che si ritiene amico".
Questo, ha proseguito, "non possiamo dimenticarcelo, ma non è il principale motivo di attrito con l'Italia: è solo un corollario aggiuntivo".
"L'Italia vuole sottrarsi agli accordi con la Svizzera"
Secondo Zali, "il vero motivo" per cui "la situazione continua a peggiorare è che l'Italia intende sottrarsi agli accordi internazionali stipulati con la Svizzera e recentemente rivisti con l'accordo sui frontalieri, applicando ai 'vecchi' frontalieri un'imposta supplementare giustificata con il pretesto di una tassa sulla salute".
Il ruolo della Confederazione e il peso sul Ticino
Su questo, "sembrerebbe che la Confederazione intenda prostrarsi in ginocchio davanti all'Italia e sarebbe quindi pronta a convalidare questa ennesima forzatura giuridica. E, come sempre, sarà il Ticino a doverne pagare il prezzo", ha avvertito.
Da qui, la richiesta che la questione si discuta "in Consiglio di Stato prima di giugno".

The role of the Confederation and the weight on Ticino
On this point, “it seems that the Confederation intends to kneel before Italy and is therefore ready to validate this latest legal coercion,” he warned. “And, as always, it will be Ticino that will have to pay the price.”
From here, the request that the matter be discussed “in the Council of State before June.”
