A gentle reminder to think before adding the contents of your vacuum cleaner to the compost heap.

If you have any man-made fibre in your carpet/floor covering it's unlikely to rot down satisfactorily. It will turn up again and again as you work the pile.

Am routinely ticking my younger self off for not thinking this through ... the soggy clumps of nylon/terylene/whatever keep returning to haunt me.
