Busy days… 🐾

I don't usually get a lot of visitors. Sometimes, I do miss that a bit, as it can be a bit lonely to be on my own at times... But, when this post goes live (I started writing on it a few days ago), I won't be alone anymore! ❤️ I'll have my hands full with my new choccy love, Koa, who will have joined me in my litle home on Wednesday, April 22nd. But, as I write this part on Monday, April 20th, Koa isn't here yet, and I'm still worried about forgetting anything that I should be doing to prepare for him... As these busy days are all about getting ready for Koa. And then, getting used to him, and he to me. Finding our ways together. And then... People will start visiting us. Well, mostly Koa, and I can take care of the drinks and snacks, as Koa will be too busy being loved by everyone. 🥰 […]

#3GoodThings -- the yesterday edition:

1) planted the garden, round one! (Peas lettuce parsley mustard greens spinach). I'm experimenting with leaving the clover and lambs ear in place instead of mulching.
2) lunch date with my hubby!
3) both cats were snuggled on the bed so my husband turned on the heating pad for them LOL

Working on a paper tonight, hope to finish it by morning. Having a break, a spot of mindless movie watching in my armchair. Everyone else is sleeping. Castorp lies on his blanket, right next to me, curled up like a cat. So good you're with me, buddy.

17 years ago on this day Kathryn, my second wife, exited this world. She was an award winning feline health writer, middle eastern dance and yoga instructor, Arabic hand drummer, neopagan witch, an artist and music community leader. I had the privilege of her presence the last ten years of her life. She struggled with bipolar II, PTSD, anxiety, agoraphobia, Lyme disease, and chemical dependency. She gave much love, and needed more love than any one could give her. I am still wrecked how her health challenges distorted her views, how she treated herself and how she chose to leave this world, but ultimately I am grateful for all the love she gave me and others, helping us be better, wiser people.
