New York is in the middle of a budget fight and Governor Kathy Hochul must decide who she stands with: working families or the ultra-rich.
While everyday New Yorkers in Rochester & across the state struggle with rising rents, underfunded schools, hospital closures, crumbling infrastructure, and a broken care system — billionaires and ultra-rich corporations continue to hoard historic wealth.
For too long, Albany politicians have claimed there “isn’t enough money” for housing, healthcare, climate action, childcare, or public transit.
That’s a lie & it is unacceptable!
We are demanding that Governor Hochul include progressive revenue in the New York State Budget by raising taxes on the ultra-wealthy — and that State Assembly and Senate members immediately co-sponsor and pass the Invest in Our New York package of legislation.
This is about power. This is about priorities. This is about whose side our government is on.

Since there is a lot of homeless people in this area, I've been buying jackets at the thrift shops and washing them and bringing them to share with whoever needs one. If you can bring me clean, gently used warm jackets, or hats, gloves, scaves ... warm socks, that would be great!
