Destruction at a Federal Warehouse Facility Owned by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Surprise, Arizona

The incident occurred early Saturday morning around 1:30 a.m. local time, involving a broken window and evidence of and a fire.

No arrests have been made, and no suspect information has been released. The massive warehouse had been making headlines this month, outraging locals.

This incident follows a separate attempted arson at a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) office in Meridian, Idaho, just days earlier.

In that case, a person used an ambulance and tried to use an accelerant, but was interrupted.

The person found the amulance at St. Luke’s West hospital on Wednesday, drove the ambulance through the parking lot, and retrieved gas cans that were staged in nearby vegetation. The person then drove the ambulance directly into the North Portico building, which houses DHS offices.

There was been an uptick in community defense targeting ICE as it has increased its deadly tenure within local populations.

In July 2025, a incident occurred at the Prairieland Detention Facility in Alvarado, Texas, resulting in the wounding a police officer.

In June 2025, protests occured at an ICE facility in Southwest Portland, Oregon. In October, a U.S. Homeland Security office in Williston, Vermont, was covered with threatening graffiti amid protests over surveillance plans. Appropriately, in January, protests in Minneapolis, Minnesota, followed shootings by ICE.

the pushback to folks choosing to pursue firearms training or obtain them always throws me for a loop

ultimately this should be the choice of the individual
