In this video we explore how these eco domes are creating the future of communal living. Just imagine living in a stunning, light-drenched, circular home—designed to align with the rhythms of your body and the natural world. Built with sacred geometry and non-toxic, mold-resistant materials, this home can withstand natural disasters and last for generations.
Ericka wrote this last year (and we gratefully posted it) and it has turned out to be only too prophetic and still very needed.
Twin Oaker, food processing manager, and self-described "Mushroom Queer", Jules is a strong advocate for communal living.

"Our possessions have become shared, ownership is fluid. Small appliances are constantly exchanged between my sister and I. We trade meals and split resources. This arrangement goes far beyond borrowing a cup of sugar: we pool resources together in order to save money, increase our quality of life, and reduce the amount of stuff we each have to own and store. It’s been eye-opening..."

Just looking into this event - looks awesome: "Feÿtopia Open Science & Human Pyramids"
https://feytopia.com/events/openscience-humanpyramids2
I've wanted to visit #Feÿtopia for a while (a seasonal commune in a French château...) and this seems like it might be the crossover for me (#OpenScience + #communalLiving!? Let's go!)
Anyone else from my fediverse networks thinking of going?
Thinking about how when I was young, I thought I’d live communally forever. I lived in group houses for many, many years without issue. Then around the 2010s I moved to a city where addiction, violence and untreated mental illness were much more prevalent inside and outside of the punk scene. I had housemates invite a friend with a heroin addiction to stay with us. They didn’t tell me about his addiction but suddenly our belongings began to disappear.
Another time after someone in our community was murdered, I walked into my home to find a loaded gun on the kitchen table. The owner was a housemate who loved alcohol & recreational drugs and knew nothing about gun safety. The murder frightened him so he decided to arm himself. In later years, he got stabbed buying drugs and eventually died of his own recklessness.
It’s just funny to look back at how idealistic you can be when you’re young and haven’t yet seen how complicated and gritty life can get. #OldPunkThoughts #GenX #Communalism #CommunalLiving
