C'è una conversione in corso di Command & Conquer 1 per gli Atari ST. Il gameplay è ripreso sotto emulatore, ma come per Amiga vi sono acceleratori hardware anche per questa piattaforma. Dal video il risultato è già buono, sotto hardware accelerato non deve sfigurare con la versione DOS.

Command & Conquer on the Atari ST — a fan port of Westwood’s classic 1995 RTS to a machine released in 1985. The Atari ST’s biggest limitations were its Motorola 68000 CPU (noticeably slower than Intel’s 80486) and video hardware that could only display 16 colors at 320x200. However, with a clever color palette, the game actually looks surprisingly good on the ST. This footage was captured on an emulated Atari STe with a 32 MHz 68040 — far more powerful than any original machine. A fun tribute to what could have been if Atari had been more successful in the 90s. How well does C&C hold up in 16 colors? Ich hatte mitbekommen, dass EA den Original Quellcode von #CommandandConquer General veröffentlicht hat.

Aber dass das so ein "zu alt, läuft nemme, das Programm mit dem das gemacht wurde gibt es nicht mehr" shit war wusste ich nicht - dass da aber ne ganze Community jetzt hinter ist die das vom Stand von 1998 auf 2020 gehoben hat - Leute die die Spielereihe genauso lieben wie ich.
