Phil HaighJust back from watching “Come From Away” at the Minack Theatre (Redruth Amateur Operatic Society). They smashed it out of the park. An incredible story of people pulling together in the wake of 9/11 in Gander, Newfoundland when their tiny airport took 38 aircraft and 7,000 people for several days. I found it both powerful and moving - and not without levity either. Well balanced, well acted, superbly sung. Managed to keep a lid on my own emotional reaction (which at points wasn’t a given). 11/10, can’t recommend, because the run ended tonight.
